Kaiapoi MAC is based near Oxford just North of Christchurch, in the South Island of New Zealand. Come and check out our great model flying facilities, based at Sheats Road.

Flying at our field is open 7 days a week, although most of the flying is done at weekends (mainly on Sundays). The hours of flying are:

8:30am to 7:00pm (during daylight saving)
9:00am to 5:00pm (for the rest of the year)

Feel free to come and watch all the types of aircraft we fly, from War-Birds, aerobatics as well as many aircraft being used for learning. If you would like to see what it's like to have "Hands On", you can contact us and we will arrange for you to come out and have a flight of our "Club Trainer". There is however a small fee for this, just to cover the cost of the fuel for the flight.

The facilities available at the field include a large grass strip, marked taxi-ways, ample parking, fenced pilots enclosure, pit and BBQ areas, fuel sales, indoor and outdoor seating, indoor transmitter pound and toilet facilities.
